He was predeceased by: his parents, Monis Van and Mary "Una" Humfleet Van. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Owens Van; his children, Britney Christophel (William III), Rachel Van (Freddie Tallant) and Carl "CJ" Van Jr.; his grandchildren, Markese Van, Elija Christophel, Nadalie Rains, Olivia Rains and Kylee Christophel; his siblings, Betty Helton (David), Lynn Van (Glenna), Delmer Van (Teresa) and Shirley Mayne (Bruce); and his mother-in-law Darlene Lawson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
