She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul McDaniel and Gertrude Taylor McDaniel; her husband Robert Ballard; and her siblings, Margie McDaniel and Gerald McDaniel.

She is survived by: her sister Anna Mae Spear (Jimmie); her sibling's children, Renee Huckleby (Tommy), Jack McDaniel (Sonia), Danny McDaniel and Shawn Spear; and her friends, Philip, Sharon Bryant and Diane Gray.
