It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Guy Phillips in Corbin, Kentucky, born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Carolyn, Marilyn, Lee Ann and Edward, Jr.; his wife Joyce McKenzie; his children, Laura Ann (Terry Riley), Charles Matt (Lisa Woods), Nathan Edward, Evie Ann and Susannah Louise; and his father Anthony. He was also cherished by grandchildren and sisters and brother.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and with respect to all those who erred on the side of caution around him due to his illness, the family has chosen to share in a private ceremony at Hart Funeral Home to be officiated by Pastor Scott Wilson of Grace on the Hill.
