He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Raymond and Lena Jones (Sharp); and his siblings, Fay Jones Shelley and Ray Jones. He is survived by: his brother Joseph R. Jones (Margie) of Winchester; his sister-in-law Donna Jones of Williamsburg; and his sibling's children, Stephanie Mills, Stacy Jewell of Williamsburg, Tammy Buffett of Lexington and Jason Jones of Lexington.
In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the 20th Street Baptist Church of Corbin.
