He is survived by: his wife Glenda Godsey Rose; his children, Stephanie Johnson, Melanie Rose, Jeffrey Rose and Herb Young; and his sisters, Judy Meadows of Corbin and Etta Lou Angel of Corbin. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
