It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Brown Jr. of Corbin, Kentucky, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Brown, Sr. and Ruth Hicks Brown; his stepmother Thelma Brown; and his sister Winifred Brown Hornstein (Owen Merle Hornstein, Sr.). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Faulkner Brown of Corbin, Kentucky; his children, Robin Brown Gorton (William T. Gorton) of Lexington, Kentucky and Robert Lee Brown III (Penelope) of Corbin, Kentucky; his sister Marjorie Brown Thomas of Morehead, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kris Arthur Gorton (Susie), Kathryn Gorton, Zachary Brown, Hannah Brown and Samuel Brown; and his great grandchildren, Kiley Gorton, Katie Beth Gorton and Elliana Gorton. He is also survived by five nieces and five nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Kentucky or Grace on The Hill Church in Corbin, Kentucky.
