He was predeceased by: his parents, Dow Sutton and Dovie Meadors Sutton; his wife Bessie Sutton; his sons, Larry Sutton and Eddie Sutton; and his granddaughter Angela Sutton.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Sutton of Corbin, KY, Roy Lee Sutton (Terri) of Cincinnati, OH and Michael Wayne Sutton (Geraldine) of Corbin, KY; his grandchildren, James Rowland, Kelly Sanderson, Daniel Horne, Jacky Sutton, Becky Sutton, David Sutton, Andy Sutton, Jason Sutton, Dwayne Sutton, Victoria Sutton and Robbie Sutton; and his brother Junior Sutton of Dayton, OH. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
