He was predeceased by: his parents, Finis Burton and Edna Earl Wilkerson Burton; and his siblings, Kenneth Burton, Van Keith Burton, Mary Louise Griffin, Jeanetta Faye Bradley, Betty Sue Woosley and Marcella Eaton.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Wilson Burton of Coxs Creek, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
