She was predeceased by : her parents, Denver Norton and Mauda McKinney Norton; her brothers, Billy Norton and Dale Norton; her stepmother Eva Bullock Norton; and her son Jessie Hayes.
She is survived by : her husband Floyd Hayes of Bee Lick, Kentucky; her children, Randall Hayes (Jennifer) of Greensboro, David Hayes of Bee Lick and Wanda Burdine (Stephen) of Quail, Kentucky; and her brother Dearl Norton (La Veda) of Edmonson, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the form of school supplies and library books to Rockcastle County Schools or other schools of choice. Donations can also be made to the cemetery fund.
