He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Potts and Willie Potts; his wife Bette Purcell; his siblings, J. C., Russell, Joe, Dorothy "Dot" King, Hazel Trummer and Willean Hundley; and his children-in-law, Becky Potts and Dave Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Evans, Bill Potts (Bobbie Stoess) and Linda Holder (Dave); his grandchildren, Kristin Walker, Ridge Hovious, Greg Evans, Emily Holder, Tayler Potts, Trafton Holder and Madison Rogers; his siblings, Martha Long, Andy Potts and Mary Anna Stepp (Faye); and his great grandchildren, Lorelai, Nyxen, Teague, Ryan, Addison, Levi, Sophia and Brandt.
Memorial contributions may go to Crestwood UMC or South Oldham Fire & Rescue to benefit the Crusade for Children.
