He was predeceased by: his son Kendrick LaMont Lovan; and his brothers, Billy Louis, Herbert Eugene and Manuel Sharber. He is survived by: his children, Carla-Nicole Brownlee and Fatima Aesha Sharber; his stepchildren, Simone Dennis and Misha Malone; and his siblings, Morris McDonald Sharber (Valarie), Susie Sharber Bush, Betty Sharber Jackson (Ben), Teresa Sharber Rice (Ricky), Quincy Sharber Griffin, Veronica Sharber Buckner (O'Daniel) and Lula Hopson Mason. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
