He is survived by: his wife Joann Kennedy Cotterell; his children, Danny (Cheryl), Randy Lebanon (Dan), Mary Williams (David) of Sevierville and Wendy Cotterell of Indianapolis, Indiana; his siblings, Leonard Cotterell (Rita) and Bessie Smith; his grandchildren, Christina Lopez (Balvino) of Clarksville, Daniel Cotterell (Amber) of Clarksville, Danae Rodriguez (Earl) of Clarksville, Caralyn Murphy (Sam) of Clarksville, Cassandra Cotterell of Clarksville and Kadence Williams of Sevierville; and his great grandchildren, Rylan of Clarksville, Addysen Lopez of Clarksville, Mason of Clarksville, Lucas of Clarksville and Selena Rodriguez of Clarksville. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
