He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sims and Emmie Daily Sims; and his sister Lucy Malone. He is survived by: his wife Elly Sims; his children, Michael Edward of Whitehouse, TN and Cathleen Newton of Clarksville, TN; his sister Hazel Crawford of Kent, WA; his grandchildren, Michael Edward II, Michelle Elizabeth Sims and Tyler Dwayne Newton; and his great grandchild Owen Michael.
