She was predeceased by: her parents, JT Coy and Mary McCoy Beard; her son Shaun Thomas Shadd; her granddaughter Jaymee Brown; and her sister Mary Sue Thomas.
She is survived by: her spouse Jackie Shadd; her daughter Cynthia Marie Brown (James); and her siblings, Russell Beard and JoAnn Miles. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
