She is survived by: her parents, Jonathan Sawtelle and Kelly Sawtelle; her sister Austyn; her grandparents, Steve Sawtelle, Kathy Sawtelle of Lander and Sharon Shaw of Elberton; and her great-grandparents, Donald Sawtelle and Frances O'Rourke.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to chadtough.org – a foundation dedicated to funding research for a DIPG cure or homes4pets.org – the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.
