With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wilhelemenia Crawford (Danville, Kentucky), born in Liberty, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Patton and Edith Wilkinson Patton; her granddaughter Shemeeka Crawford; and her siblings, Donald Ray, Clifford, James Patton, Wilma Gooch, Gladys Bridgewater and Beulah Horry.
She is survived by: her sons, James Crawford (Valerie), Michael Crawford (Cheryl), Gregory Crawford and Marshall Crawford (Tammie); her siblings, Loretta Short (Ray), Lester Patton, Willis Patton (Dorothy), Kenneth Patton (Bonita) and Thomas Patton (Karen); her grandchildren, Alonzo Alcorn (India), Sedetria Sumerall (Anthony), Jamea Crawford-Railley (Corey), Jeremy (Susan), Chase Wofford, Desire Wofford, Shequoyah Hill, Tremeeka Crawford, James Gregory Crawford (Makenzie), Krystal Napier Burdette, DeAnne Crawford, Mariah Crawford, Tanner Crawford, Helena Walker and Carl Walker; her close friend Betty Burton; and her nephew Jerry Gooch. She is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home (331 S 4th St, Danville, KY 40422). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
