He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Daughtery Dent and Robert Dent; his brothers, Robert Dent (Bob) and James Dent (Jimmy); and also Lillie Faye Burnett Dent.
He is survived by: his former wife Lillie Faye Burnett; his wife June Chron Price; his daughter Dr. Delinda Dent (John Lackey) of Richmond; his sister Louise Dent Sherrick of Ft. Worth, Texas; his granddaughters, Dr. Alisha Melina Wray (Justin Wray) of Waco, Texas and Dr. Katibeth Sharp (Andrew Sharp) of Richmond, Kentucky; his stepdaughters, Virginia Kay Brown (Ben Brown) of Dallas and Norma Judy Oles (Mike Oles) of Lubbock, Texas; his stepgranddaughter Melissa Hodge (Travis) of Dallas Texas; his great grandchildren, Lyra Bell Wray and Ella Lillie Wray of Waco; his stepgreat-grandson Benjamin Hodge; and his friend Lexington of Kentucky. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and the extended Lackey/Friend.
