He was predeceased by: his parents, Forster Hopson and Florence Gibson Hopson; and his siblings, Freeman Harrington and Mabel Petralia. He is survived by: his wife Julie Mullins Hopson; his children, Tina Hopson Akers, Toni Horton (John), Johnny D. Hopson (Veronica) and Virginia Ray (Dean); and his siblings, Jimmy Hopson, Ruby Lee Dutton, Elizabeth Stanley and Celia Hopson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
