He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Owens; his grandchildren, Stephen Dustin McQuigg, James Derek McQuigg (Sarajane), Adam Rahn (Jenn), Katelyn Story Thomas Kalstein, Erin Grace Story, James Cole Northcutt, Jacob Story Horn (Peyton), Adam Ryan Story, William Grant Northcutt, Mary Kate Story and Mary Rachel Pettit; his stepgrandchildren, Natalie Horn Osburn and Alan Horn; and his great grandchildren, Liam Russell Kingston, Ava Grace Kingston, India Story Kalstein and Bodhi Manion McQuigg.
He is survived by: his parents, William Arthur and Estella Harper Story; his children, Paul Mark Story, Margaret Elizabeth McQuigg (Steve), Virginia Lee Story (Richard Horn), Sarah Jane Northcutt (Vaden), Betty Ann Pettit (George) and James Arthur Story; and his caregiver Jackie Brown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
