He was predeceased by : his parents, Aubrey Phillips and Amy Melton Phillips; and his siblings, Ora Lee Bearden, Jimmy Gooch and C. J. Gooch.

He is survived by : his children, Jena McGregor of Gilbertsville, KY, Daniela, Perry Phillips of Grand Rivers, KY and Darin Phillips (Angie) of Eddyville, KY; his grandchildren, Andria Pugh, Clayton Bohanon, Brekke Greif, Isabella Katherine Brunelle, Madelyn Rae Brunelle and Jackson Tyler Linton; and his great grandchild Cailyn Bohanon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
