He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Miller Buchanan; his wives, Martha Mueller Buchanan and Virgie Bryant Buchanan; and his brothers, Jerry Buchanan and Bob Buchanan.
He is survived by: his children, Mindy Blackburn (Steve) and Todd Buchanan of El Paso, TX; his siblings, Jean Glisson, Ann Reed (Mark) and Larry Buchanan (Dwan); and his grandchildren, Kell Blackburn (Megan), Barrett White (Brandon), Kade Blackburn and Colton Buchanan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
