She was predeceased by : her parents, Simon Badillo and Isabel Roman Badillo; her husband Carlos Emiliano Ortiz; her son William Ortiz; and her brothers, Jose Badillo and David Badillo.

She is survived by : her children, Luis E. Ortiz (Julia) of Suffern, NY, Carlos Ortiz (Marlene), Anasco, Samuel Ortiz of El Paso, TX and Sara Mercedes Ortiz-Roach (Scott) of Elizabethtown, KY; her sisters, Sarah (Noemi) and Ponce; and her grandchildren, Maria G. Roach, Victoria T. Roach, Daniel L. Ortiz (Nichole), Katya J. Ortiz, Carlos Ortiz Jr., Evelyn Ortiz and William Ortiz Jr.. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Trowbridge Funeral Home - Elizabethtown (234 W Dixie Ave, Elizabethtown, KY 42701).
