She was predeceased by: her husband Ivan Bird; her children, Gail Millitson, Davona Thomas, Nelva Robertson, Paula Hudson and Leslie Bird; and her parents, George Spratt and Rudelle Burks Spratt.

She is survived by: her brother Lamar Spratt. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
