Banta; his children, Jerry A. Banta (Kathy) of Shively and Jennifer "Jenny" Hope Banta (Brian) of Taylorsville; his stepchildren, Heather N. Cook (Tyler) of Campbellsville, Scott Mings of Campbellsville and Robert Mings of Campbellsville; and his siblings, William H. Banta (Edna) of Frankfort, Terry L. Banta (Valerie) of Newark, OH, Terry Scruggs of Shelbyville, Jerry Scruggs of Shelbyville, Maria Fugate (Greg) of Franklin County and Kathy Douglas (Lowell) of Missouri. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
