She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Gaylord Latherow and Gertrude Ellen Lloyd Niedrich; her husband Samuel T. Childers; and her sons, Carl Lee Childers (Susette) and Craig Thomas Childers.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St Jude or the American Heart Association.
