He was predeceased by : his parents, James Tomlin and Ruth Miller Tomlin; his children, Deborah Clayburn, Michael Jones and Donald Jones Sr.; and his brother Ricky Tomlin.

He is survived by : his son Stephen "Gator" Tomlin; and his brother Jim Tomlin (Toni). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
