She was predeceased by : her husband Henry James Frank Smith; her daughter Brandie Jane Smith; her parents, Flora Jane Rushing (Jackson) and Willis David Rushing; and her brothers, David Rushing and Billy Joe Rushing.

She is survived by : her sons, James David (Anita) and Fancy Farm; her grandchildren, Nathan and Nicole; and her sister Janice.
