He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dudley "A. D." and Esther; his grandchildren, Paige Dillon and Christian Jacob Mitchell; and his siblings, Naomi Ballenger, Dwight Hurst and Glenn Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Gay Arnold Hurst; his children, Doren Farrington (David) of Kokomo, IN, Belinda Moran of Flemingsburg, Darrell Edwards (Lindsey) of Lexington, Marlena King (Mike) of Carlisle, Sandy Huber (Rick) of Maysville and Terra Vice (Stacey) of Flemingsburg; his grandchildren, Chris Webb (Brian), Dayna Mays (Todd), Ryan Hurst (Rebekah), Luci Edwards, Tyler Mitchell, Justin Hurst, Tiffany Dillon, Makayla Maggard and Mallory Vice; his sisters, Lucille Neal (Fred) and Sharon Stapleton (Jerry); and his nephew Jerry Planck. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
