She was predeceased by : her parents, William B. Heflin and Martha Jane Ashby Heflin; her grandson Bryce W. Newton; and her siblings, Levaughn, Don, Lockery, Joe, Dena, Gaynelle and Anna Mae.
She is survived by : her children, Carla Newton (Mark) of Owensboro, Mary Pflieger (Carl) of Franklin, KY and Mark Melander of Bowling Green; her grandchildren, Bethanie, Joy, Jonna, Ashby, Krista, Samuel and Brodie; and her sister Phyllis Shelton (Bruce) of Lewisport. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
