She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. Garland, Jr. and Mary E. Flynn Garland; and her son Benjamin Lewis. She is survived by: her husband James H. Lewis, Jr.; her children, Corey Lewis (Emily), Holly Brunson (Stefan) and Michael Lewis (Tedra Hunt); her cousin Jennifer Flynn; and her grandchildren, Elijah Brunson and Sarah Brunson.
