He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Christopher Douglas Simpson (Michelle), Midway Dorough, Laura Beth Dorough (Jed) and Versailles; his siblings, Becky Cunningham (Jason), Frankfort Walker, Kim Walker (Danny), David Simpson (Gaye) and Jeff Simpson (Philda); and his grandchildren, Abby, Jake and Anna Dorough. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
