It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert D. Sayre Jr. (Frankfort, Kentucky), who passed away on March 9, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Evelyn Sayre of Frankfort; his children, Mark Sayre of Frankfort, Steve Sayre of Frankfort, David Sayre (Lottie) of Frankfort and Sharon Knox (Billy) of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Michael Sayre, Christine Sayre, Daniel Snow, Sean Snow, Derek Snow, David P. Sayre, Samantha Harris, Jessica Wilson and Emily Wilson. He was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren.
