With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Mersereau Van Horne of Frankfort, Kentucky, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Percy and Jennie Dorothea Mersereau; and her siblings, Jean, Marilyn, Arlene and Kenneth Mersereau.

She is survived by : her children, George Ransom Van Horne, III, Robert Kenneth Van Horne, Sr. (Linda) and Jolene Carol Van Horne; her brother Henry Mersereau; her grandchildren, Robert Jr. (Emma), John, Joe, Sarah, Michael, George IV and Margot Van Horne; her nieces and nephews, Brett, Jennie Duggan, Wayne, Gary Picone, Hank Mersereau, David, Cheryl and Jonathan Weber; and also, Pam, George Eichhorn and David Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Salvation Army or First United Methodist Church Music Endowment.
