It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Lax Weir Mayhew (Frankfort, Kentucky), who passed away on March 6, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Lax, Sr. and Mary Osbron Lax; her siblings, Jessie, Coville, Kittie, Franklin, Herbert Jr. and Mary Edith; her son Kenneth Lynn Weir; her stepdaughter Rita Mayhew; and her stepgranddaughter Patricia "Pat" Betts Klopatek.

She is survived by: her daughter Tanya Marie Weir Turner; her stepson Dale Betts (Shirley); and also Frederick Turner. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild from her first marriage.
