He was predeceased by: his parents, Rutherford B. Hayes Carnahan and Ruby Jane Escue Carnahan; his half-sister Sandra K. Hudson; his niece Lynn Short; and his former wife Tina Marie Carnahan.
He is survived by: his son John Carnahan (Elizabeth) of Edmonton, KY; his grandsons, Justin M. P. Stewart, Jr., Gavin Carnahan, William Levi Carnahan and Joshua Wesley Hunter Carnahan; his sister Lillie Carver of Franklin, KY; his nieces and nephews, Hattie Hines, Paul Adcock, Ricky Byrd, Tommy Adcock, Anita Brown, Kim Epley, Paul Short, Joanie Hester and Darshell Short; and his brother-in-law Douglas Short.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are to be made to Gilbert Funeral Home to help with Mr. Carnahan's final expenses.
