Catherine Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Smith of Frenchburg, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Catherine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Catherine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Butler Sallee and Carma Smallwood Lawson; and her stepfather Clayton Lawson. She is survived by: her children, Diana Smith and Jeffery B. Smith (Kimberly Smith) of Frenchburg, KY.; her husband Larry B. Smith; her daughter Tina Michelle Smith; and her siblings, Vivian Lawson McCoy, Janice Lawson Smith and James Clayton Lawson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Menifee Home For Funerals (P. O. Box 98 847 Highway 36, Frenchburg, KY 40322). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
