It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy Carroll Long of Scottsboro, Alabama, born in Paducah, Kentucky, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Thomas Lane, Sr. and Thelma L. Lane (Creason); and her siblings, James E. Lane and Freda Lane Green. She is survived by : her husband James G. Long; her children, Kimberley Ann Brown (Randy) of Scottsboro, AL and Kyle Anthony Long (Kim) of Huntsville, AL; her grandchildren, Summer Lane Judd (Jason) of Henderson, TN and Tyler Brown (Audrey) of Summertown, TN; and her brothers, R. T. Lane, Jr., Ronald A. Lane and Larry T. Lane of Fuquay Varina, NC.. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel (302 Carr St, Fulton, KY 42041). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
