He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Jewell and Dora Inman Jewell Smith; his wife Mary Betty Durham Jewell; his children, Darrell Wayne Jewell and Shirley Senters; his granddaughter Opal Rose Jewell; and his siblings, Virgil Smith, James Jewell, Rev. Earl Jewell, Andrew Smith, Rosemary Connley, Geneva Angel, Betty Jean Hair, Dorothy Duff and Brenda Brinsom.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Dean Jewell of Georgetown, Frances Jean Roberts of LaFollette, TN, Dora Myleta Partin of Corinth and Jo Ann Michael of Williamstown; and his siblings, Douglas Smith of Cincinnati and Linda Kersey of Cincinnati. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren; 62 Great Grandchildren; and 32 Great Great Grandchildren.
