It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danny Joe McKinney in Georgetown, Kentucky, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pleasant McKinney and Agnes Green McKinney; his son Joseph "Joey" McKinney; and his brother Gary Lee McKinney. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Covington McKinney; his daughter Erin Mitchell (Matt) of Georgetown; his granddaughters, Gia, Laina Mitchell and Jordan McKinney; his sister Kathy Jones (James); and his siblings-in-law, Howard Covington (Judy) of Georgetown and Thresea McKinney of Cary.
The family have requested that all that attend wear mask.
In lieu of flowers, because Danny's granddaughter has this syndrome, the family has requested that donations be made to Pitt-Hopkins Research Foundation, P.O. Box 6257, Plymouth, MA 02362.
