He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Stevens and Martha Larkin Stevens; and his sister Joy Jeffcoat. He is survived by: his children, Kris Stevens (Lisa) of Louisville and Cali Stevens Hammond (Josh) of Shelbyville; his granddaughters, Addison of Shelbyville, Aubree of Shelbyville and Stevie Hammond of Shelbyville; his siblings, Sharon Marshall (Chip) of Georgetown, Donna Martin (Terry) of Georgetown and Herbie Stevens (Erika) of Sevierville; his nieces, Lisa Jones, Laura Morse (Bart), Beth Barker (Jeremiah) and Emily Stevens; his nephew Josh Marshall; his great-nephews, Evan, Alex and Liam David Jones; his great-niece Molly Morse; his uncle Jimmy Wilkie; his nieces, Dana Smith (Harvey) and LaRanda Lyn; and his nephew James Blodgett. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
