He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Walker Rose; his parents, Austin Rose and Lucille Brown Rose; and his daughters, Cheryl Phillips and Cindy Brisbay.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Wesley Brisbay of Georgetown and Ashley Brisbay of Georgetown; and his great grandchild Aaliyah Cleaver.
