He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Lucas and Mattie Lucas (Irvin); and his brother Sammy K. Lucas. He is survived by: his children, Tonya Schornick (Mike) and John B. Lucas III; his grandchildren, Michael Schornick III, Morgan Schornick and Jensen Lucas; his sister Alice Witt (Ricky); his child Bethel Lucas; and his sister-in-law Billie Sue Lucas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
