He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Patton and Reva Reed Patton. He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Lynn Gribbins (Keith) and Stephanie Anne Lee (Seog-Shin); his brother Phillip Patton (Margie); his grandchildren, Emily Nichole Manley, Alyssa Marie Hodgson, Dylan Michael Smith, Tae-Jin Lee, Soo-Jin Lee, Jake Gribbins, Erin Gribbins, Cole Gribbins and Ariel Mills; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Mills, Addison Carr, Abel Carr, Sean Carr, Grace Mills, Lane Mills and Clarke Gribbins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children Hospital.
