He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lee Ray Smith and Zelma Gumm Smith; his wife Sandra Smith; his children, Nathan Smith (Kendra) and Jennifer Smith; his grandson Xander Michael Lee Smith; his stepchildren, Tracy Stamper (Brian), Melissa Gibson (Keith) and Michael Cockerham (Theresa); his stepgrandchildren, Cody Stotts, Ashton Stotts, Gracie Gibson, Lanie Gibson, Carter Gibson, Chloe Gibson and Hannah; his sisters, Paula Howard (Billy Wayne), Parents-Lee Ray and Zelma Smith; and his son Dustin Keith Smith.
