He is survived by: his close friend Gloria Wright; his children, Austin Cole (Natalie), Georgietta Cunningham, Penny (Stewart) and Joseph Thomas Cole, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Kinsley Cole, Brantley Cole, Avery Cole, Brandon Flynn, Zachery Flynn, Justin Carey, Erin Carey and Jayden Cole. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; eight siblings; and his extended family.
