He is survived by: his spouse Sally Whaley (Ostrander); his son Kevin R. Smith (Josefina); his granddaughters, Jennifer Smith, Tiffany Smith, Kristi Smith, Lawton Smith and Craig S. Smith; his sister Winnie Bratcher (Smith); his sibling's children, Kris Bratcher, Vicki Watson (Gerald) of Zionsville, Rebecca Laxton (Steve) and Mimi Matthews (Adams); his sister-in-law Rose Smith (Benton); his niece Brenda Smith; his former wife Sue Armstead (Nichols); his child Canton of Michigan; his stepchild Randy Whaley (Mena); his stepgrandchildren, Ashley and Jimmy; and also, Georgetown Kentucky, Charlotte North Carolina, Morris, Plano Texas, Susan Sherouse (Whaley), Tim S. Whaley and Rowlett.
