He was predeceased by: his parents, Artie Franklin and Helen Aldine King (Wright); his nephews, Jonathon Lee, Donald Emery Green and Aaron Neal; and his brother-in-law Claude Jessie.
He is survived by: his children, Michael King (Taylor), Jason and Ashley Newland; his siblings, Phyllis Jessie, Patricia Humphrey, Cinda Neal (Larry), Sheilah Willhoit (Larry) and Arty King (Lila) of Georgetown; and the mothers of children, Bridget and Suzie King. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
