He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Powell, Sr. and Louise Coy Powell; his sons, William C. Powell III and Joshua Powell; and his grandson Dustin Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Carter Powell; his grandson William Drake Powell; his daughter-in-law Brenda Powell; his former wife Deloris Powell; and his brothers, Frank and Jimmy Powell. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
