She was predeceased by: her parent Arthur Melvin; and her siblings, Genelle Smith, Cordell Sheffield and Billy Sheffield. She is survived by: her parent Abbie Maude Goad Sheffield; her husband William A. Abston of Glasgow; her children, Janice Poynter (Raymond), Wanda Pursley (Harold) and Danny Abston (Shelli) of Railton; her grandchildren, Quentin Pursley (Lindsey), Stewart Pursley (Dilyana Nicolova), Joshua Abston, Kelli Jenkins (Kevin) and Dyllan Abston; and her great grandchildren, Aiden Abston and Sebastion Phillips.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shiloh Cemetery Fund c/o Lowell Renick 10885 Old Bowling Green Rd. Smiths Grove, KY 42171.
