He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack McKinley Shepherd and Geneva Adkins Shepherd; and his siblings, Denzil Shepherd, Glennis Shepherd and Elaine Sargent.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Kay Shepherd; his sons, Kenneth Darrell Shepherd (Cheryl) of Grays Knob, Scott Allan Shepherd (Kaytreana) of Clarksville, TN and Steven Dale Shepherd (Misty) of Evarts; his grandchildren, Cody, Kayla, Macky, Dillon, Jacob, Jordan, Brian, Stevie and Edyn; his great grandchildren, Darren, Kaylon and Marley; and his siblings, Bill Shepherd (Debbie) of Cawood, Richard Shepherd of Keterring, David Shepherd of Barbourville, Penny Shipman of Evarts and Lenora Brown of Columbus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
